DILL
CA, US
I got some dill speeds (no variety name provided) from Suzanne Ashworth at a see swap maybe 10 years ago. I struggled to grow it in my amended red clay soil at 2750' elevation in the Sierra Nevada foothills, but one year I had some volunteers that grew moderately well. After several more years of letting the most vigorous plants self-sow, I get strong, vigorous plants with multiple seed sets, 4'-5' feet tall. This seed is selected from the best of those which have adapted to my area. Great producer of seeds, an average amount of foliage, great traditional dill taste and scent.
